DJ Sbu under fire for Chidimma Adetshina post

DJ Sbu, real name Sbusiso Leope, has been trending all day thanks to his social media tweets, one of which is about Miss Universe runner-up Chidimma Adetshina.

The media personality and businessman received criticism for applauding the South African-born beauty queen despite her ongoing criminal accusations for identity theft and fraud.

The 23-year-old model came in second place at the lavish ceremony held in Mexico City on Saturday, November 16. She also won the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.

Meanwhile, Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, won the title.

DJ SBU DRAGGED TO CONGRATULATE CHIDIMMA.

DJ Sbu shared a photo of Chidimma Adetshina, who represented Nigeria at the Miss Universe finale, on his Instagram account.
He captioned the photo of the pageant star, “Congratulations to Africa’s Pride. Thank you, Queen, for not giving up on your aspirations despite all difficulties against you.”

He said, “We are quite proud of you. Our little girls can believe their dreams are real because of you.”
Many of DJ Sbu’s fans were unhappy by the post since he failed to include South Africa’s Mia Le Roux, who withdrew from the Miss Universe competition due to “health concerns.”

Nonetheless, Chidimma answered by praising the Mofaya inventor for “for supporting me!!
DJ Sbu’s congratulatory remark comes months after he apologised to South Africans for supporting Chidimma following a damning Department of Home Affairs report. Following an investigation into identity theft and fraud, the Hawks are now pursuing criminal charges against Chidimma and her Mozambican mother.

He said on his Radio 200 breakfast broadcast, “I apologise unequivocally.”

He went on to say, “I love South Africans, and I spread wonderful energy. If anything I’ve said has offended you, I apologize. But, again, we must always be present for our youth. And let the law take its course.

ANOTHER CONTROVERSIAL POST.

DJ Sbu has also been into trouble for a video he posted showing him rejecting a street seller for not selling his own brand, Mofaya.
In the viral video, the radio and television personality is seen inviting a young man selling refreshing drinks on a busy route.
When DJ Sbu learned the man wasn’t selling Mofaya, he promptly rejected him.

“What universe do you live in? You’re losing R200. “What kind of hustle is this?”
