Zuki Lamani, the Cape Town influencer who was previously rebuked by Rachel Kolisi for being “thirsty” towards her spouse Siya, is trending following the shocking news of their divorce.
After eight years of marriage, the couple announced their split.
In 2018, the student went viral after posting about meeting the rugby star, whom she said was her “celebrity crush.” They met shortly after Siya was named the first black Springbok captain.

On Tuesday, October 22, Siya and Rachel Kolisi announced their separation and upcoming divorce.
They married in 2016 and have two children, Nicholas and Keziah. Rachel also assumed the role of mother to Siya’s orphaned siblings, Liyema and Liphelo.
Although the news came as a surprise to South Africans, social media quickly flooded with opinion on what went wrong. Many X users mentioned Zuki Lamani, who was attacked by Rachel herself.

Zuki Lamani shared photos of herself meeting the great rugby player on Instagram in 2018. The photo shows the couple half-embracing, staring and smiling at each other.
“That Kolisi glow,” Zuki said about the married Springbok. In another, Zuku said that Siya flirted back.
She captioned one Instagram Story, “So ubaby (Siya Kolisi) said ‘dammit’ when I was taking these shots.” Then offered to snap pictures of me with my phone while I was doing the shoot”.
The images rapidly became viral, but for the wrong reasons. Zuki, who stated that Siya was her famous obsession, was implicitly labeled as “thirsty” by his wife Rachel, who posted a remark on the site.
